The History of Berlin

This was a town that was founded in 1836 when its first settlers, Sidney Evans and P.G. Harrington came to the town and called it home. It was originally a part of the neighboring town, Muskego, Eventually, the town separated itself and became independent in 1839, and it was known as the town of Mentor for 20 years until 1959. In the span from 1850 and 1950, the town went from about a thousand people to over 5,000. And it continued to grow. It even tripled in size in 15,778. The town was also said to be named after Sidney Evans hometown in New York.

One of these famous places that New Berlin is home to is the Cheese Factory, and Mustang Shelly’s. This historic street is still in place, and has numerous vintage signs that are used throughout the area to show you the historic nature of the town and the road.
