I could no longer keep up with the lawn after having my third child. I am so glad I found Sun’s Out. They are very professional and my yard has never looked better.

I absolutely love showing off my yard now that Sun’s Out has been taking care of it for the last year or so. I have never been able to get it this green and full. Yea, my neighbors are jealous.

About Sussex, WI

Sussex, WI is a small village in Waukesha County, and is on the northern side of the Milwaukee area. It was founded in the year 1843 by a famous bricklayer, and a blacksmith. As one of the larger suburbs of Milwaukee, it’s more than 7.5 square miles wide and includes the famous Bugline Trail that runs through it. But that’s enough Demographics, we’re going to talk about Sussex, WI and let you know of some of the special things that the small town has to offer, as well as give you a bit of extra information that you may want to know should you want to move to the Milwaukee area.

Community Driven

One of the great things about Sussex, is that even though they have a typical local government, they are driven thanks to their thriving community and its members. While the current pandemic has indeed taken a small toll on things lately, the community normally hosts 4th of July celebrations, as well as public works, and numerous happenings in the area. They even have their very own 5k run during the summer months, and have a bustling farmer’s market, as well as special hunting and fishing events as well.

Baseball is Fun

One thing that many people love is how everyone loves baseball. They have numerous baseball fields that are open, and which can be rented. In the heart of the area, these can all be used by locals and visitors in the area alike. If you’re a lover of baseball, you can go visit Menomonee Park which is close by, or visit their City park which has some fun for everyone!

Good Hometown Foods

One thing that there is to love, are the local restaurants and small shops in their downtown area. Some people don’t like being 30 minutes from Milwaukee, but there are a lot of conveniences there. What’s even better is the atmosphere. The word hometown comes to mind when people think about Sussex, WI. This is partially due to how nice everyone is to each other, and how well everyone gets along!

Peace and Quiet

As it is 30 minutes away from the city, some people have complained of the lack of things to do (primarily the younger crowd). However, it’s a great place to raise a family, and has an excellent school system as well, with some of the best schools in the state. What’s even more important, is that since it’s a peaceful and quiet town that is a decent distance from the bustling traffic of the city, it is one of the safest places in all of Wisconsin, especially the Milwaukee area.

Conclusion

If the nightlife and bustling crowds are your thing, you may not want to move to Sussex unless you want to drive to the city every day. However, if you’re wanting to safely raise a family, Sussex, WI is one of the best places that you could ever take your family. What’s even more important, is that the community takes care of each other, so you can help and be helped when necessary too!
